Fuel Additives

I am new to the IDI world so this may be a stupid question but, I was just wondering what everyone use in their fuel. I know the IDI’s require a little something for lubrication. I have been Lucas but it is pretty high dollar. I have heard that these engines will run on just about anything. I don’t want to go to a full waste oil fuel just adding for lubricity.
