Front left injector leaking

I have a knocking injector and it is bubbling fuel around the base. It is the one in the very front of the engine on the passenger side. The return line comes up right there and goes back to the filter.

There is a small device that fits on that injector... What is it.

that small adapter thingy is for the pulse timing adapter. don't loose it.

have you tried to tighten it down. 33-35 ft lbs.

That one would not tighten at all. I was using a crow foot wrench though.

That adapter appears to be cracked or leaking. I will need to further inspect it to make sure.

Is the adapter tight?

I didn't know what it was and didn't want to risk messing with it. I will check. Thanks for the quick reply.

If the adapter and injector are tight then i would take the injector out and make sure the copper washer on the bottom of it is still in good shape.

When did this injector start leaking. Have you done any work on the engine around this area. Are all 4 line clamps on the injector hard lines. Sounds like your injector hard line is cracked right at the line nut. This line you are posting about is number 1 cylinder. Look closely at all the intake manifold port runner. You will see that cylinder number onthe topof them...
