so, i did my fatherly duties today from 5-9, had the soopar ****** loaded up with a dump run.
had to pick up payroll, make a deposit, customers were screaming today!!!
everytime i got set to head down to the shop, another call came in.
finally had a minute to load up all my extra FE stuff to donate to the shop for my 410 build.
dropped off 7.3 rods to be checked.
ill be there tomorrow loading rings on slugs and installing them to the rods.
polish the crank and mic it.
should be good to go.
preliminary mic readings were +/- 0.0008" right in the center of the spec.
not bad for pre polished mic check.
had to be back home by 2 to take care of the kids..

ill tell you what, if you have infants....
banana rice cereal is the bomb!

i should have taken the block in to get it cleaned in the tank.
but i can clean it with ease. and i have not chased the threads yet.

tomorrow im working on another members truck, and installing an oven in my garage so i can start baking exhaust parts.

i hope this exhaust coating works like a charm.

what a awesome blanket you have! I have done may things like it...and my mother hated when I would ''borrow'' her kitchen things because that meant they were no longer food useable... looking great.

Brian can you explain how you oriented the rods to the pistons? Reason I ask is I made a mistake on mine but caught it when the crank would not turn after several pistons were installed. The wrist pin lug goes a particular side of the piston and the piston fits the bore a certain ways. Then the rod only fits the crank one particular way. It can get very confusing.
