Hey guys
has anyone ever tried to shorten the length of the fan blades? with this hydraulic pump and extra pully on the crankshaft i was thinking if i could shorten the blades about 1" it would clear and i could go back to the oem fan, as most know i'm less than happy with my electric fan set up. what does everyone think?

i imagine that you could shorten them but then you will need to balance the fan or things could get ugly

2nd that notion!;Sweet Might be an idea if ya shorten the fan to somehow make the shroud fit closer too the keep the system working at it's peak!

not really wanting to move the fan closer to the radiator, just trying to clear the extra crankshaft pulley i had to add, seems like a machine shop could machine about 1" off each blade and it wouldn't affect the balance, but maybe i'm missing somethig here. I was hoping someone here had already tried this with some success.
