Scored a down pipe from the local u pull it, off a garbage truck. Little cutting and welding, fits perfect.

How is the throttle response?

Pretty good. It's not a race car, didn't build it to be. I'm sure with a better pump, injectors and turbo it'll come to life.

Was it worth all of the effort? One of my dreams is to put one of these engines in a 79 f350 and put a five speed behind it

I think it was worth it. Only thing I'm not 100% thrilled about is the S42 ZF. The 4.14:1 first sucks pulling out with the trailer

I've never had an issue with the S42. My 93 na IDI seems to do just fine starting out even with large loads
