do gassers lack emessions like the diesels? i wouldnt want to put a diesel into a truck then get hit up for an tailpipe emessions vist. i know 96+ they would just plug into the truck though

yes the gassers have emissions but so do diesels now.not sure how your inspections work but up here we can swap a diesel into a gas or a gas into a diesel.when they enter the plate or VIN the machine also asks for fuel type.as long as it passes emissions tests for that engine type your good to go.
