Can somebody double- check my diagram here? The objective is to be able to have the filter on bypass normally, and also be able to cutoff flow to the heater core for better A/C power. Are there any flaws with this here? Thanks

Sorry for the crappy hand- drawn diagram.

Looks like it'll work properly to me. Are you using a manual shut-off valve to the heater core or getting the Ford vacuum-operated shut-off valve?

I plan on using just plain ball valves for each "valve" labeled. That way I figure I will just close it for the warmer days.

you don't have to have the bypass in there - it won't overheat the truck or shove too much through the filter. The other head doesn't have a route out and back to the water pump so it won't hurt her at all. use one valve to stop flow to the heater core will be good enough.
