Whats the point with all dem lights? Goin fer a big rig look?

Some people like the way it looks.

Also there is the small hope, that the @$$hat MIGHT actually see you. And decide NOT to cut you off while you're hauling a 12k trailer.

very small hope....

Matrix, Harbor Freight sells a set of the tear drop style lights for $13, $10 on sale. I've got hem on my truck and like them. They pretty bright for regular bulbs too. I'll post a pic in a bit.

Here's mine right now. Added the cab lights and the ones on the toolbox. I gonna add more lights later when I get a headache rack and my steps mounted.

I know it's not my pickup truck, but here are some shots of the KW I drove a few years back and the chicken lights I installed on her. Made a HUGE difference in the way the truck looked.

A a person who uses a CDL for a living, we sure do appriciate any and ALL lights, factory or aftermarket, when we are playing out on the big roads at night. Sometimes, it's just plain hard to see a pickup truck in a blind spot, but if it's emmiting enough light to rival an asteroid hitting earth's atmosphere, it just might save a life.

Yes, all my non-factory lights will be on a relay very soon.

I've looked at those harbor freight cab lights every time i go there (the side and bumper lights are from there...:D ).... I'm just not sure how they'll look up on the cab. I guess i could buy them and set them up, then return them if i don't like them.

I'm not sure why they're called "chicken lights", but thats what i've always heard...lol

As for why i have them, I try to make my truck as visible as i can at night......and i just love the lights... :D Just wait til you see my upgraded taillights.....
