annoying oil leak

i have an oil leak that started last week when i started driveing my truck after a transmission change. i thought it was my filter at first and i replaced it and it still is leaking. the oil is running from the front of my filter around the top and down the back side of it and is a steady drip. on my trip home it went through a qt of oil and it was a 130mile trip and it only leaks when its running. any ideas???

Valve cover? When mine was leaking it would get all over the manifold and collect around there.

My oil cooler was shot when I got the truck but it was all still fused to the block and wasn't leaking from the bolts, but you never know.

They have a die you can put in the oil and a little kit you can rent from kragen to watch it at night with special glasses and a flashlight

Valve covers are leaking but it isn't comin from there. If I put it in 2nd n let engine idle there is a spot of oil bout every foot n its running right down my oil filter do coolers go bad on these?

The oil cooler o rings are know to go bad. Its not to bad a job to do.
