Hey IDI guys,
I wanted to discuss the merits and demerits of mismatching upgrade brands, particularly in the fuel system.
I was planning out upgrades for my project truck (haven't started a thread for it, but I will once the project actually gets going) and was wondering what you guys thoughts are on using a CDD pump (probably a 130cc, I'll run a turbo & etc.) and R&D stage 1 Injectors.
CDD pumps seem very well designed, but R&D doesn't have a core charge for injectors and they are cheaper to begin with. Lookin to get good reliable performance without spending unnecessary cash.
What do you guys think about running a CDD pump with R&D injectors?
Bad, Good, Maybe? Worth the extra $1000 to match pump and injectors?
(CDD pumps are $800 less than the R&D at 130cc, with R&D injectors being $200 less than CDD)
Thanks and Happy Tinkering!
