88-91 F450 runs a 235/85/16 load range "E" tire.
if you are really going to carry a load on the truck, don't get a cheap tire.

My 91 F-Super Duty has 235/85/16's on it. I need to replace my rear tires. The previous owner put some retreads on the back.:rolleyes:

I see alot of these trucks running around with 215/85 also.

That's a whole lot of truck for that small of a tire. I think I'll stick with the 235/85's when I replace mine. Hell they look small on my truck.:D Not to mention mine already screams going down the highway the way it is. A smaller diameter tire would not help.

I run only 215's on my 11,000 pound motorhome, for fuel economy reasons, skinnier tires = less rolling resistance, and they are load range E, inflated at 75PSI outer duallys, 73PSI inners, and 80PSI front.

There isn't that much of a difference between 235 vs. 215, but when your running 6 tires, it does make a difference.

It's for 3.54 LOL but a 3 speed tranny... haha

There can't be that much of a difference in height, 215 compared to 235, surely there is one, but not enough to say so? If I remember right, 235/85 are 31.6" tall. But don't know how tall the 215's are. Tomorrow, I have to go fire up the camper in storage anyways, I'll bring a measuring tape with me, cause this is gonna bug me now, I need to know :D

Even with your C6 auto you've got better gears then my ZF 5spd with 5.13's! I really need a Brownie box!LOL Mine would pull a freight train as long as you don't want to go much over 60mph pulling it!:D
