theres actually some pitting in the valve covers,
which turned out a little darker than the rest of it.
I was talking to my powder coater, he told me he will recoat another set for me if I wish,
but I kinda like it!
gives it that shiny patina look!
lemme go grab another pic.

Spent a few minutes with some 80 grit and then with some 400 grit de-powder coating the new turbo hat.

i have no clue how it goes with the OD green exterior,
but the inside is blue? LOL

ive painted so much stuff from an engine in my day.
it never seems to last very long.
it looks great for a while, but eventually chips, fades, gets dirty and starts to look like crap.

this is the first time ive ever powder coated anything on my engines,
i hope it lasts a long time!

DIY RSK.
almost complete!
need to acquire some material to tie the shackles together,
and then hit up the bolt store for some real bolts and delete this grade 5 garbage (onlything they had at the local hardware store)
strip it apart, and final weld everything.
