Thanks Gary. Any idea about a 6.2 governor spring like the OP asked? Will that bring us up to around 3800?

David: No thanks.. lol but I have no doubt that is an effective method.

All it will do is run to the govoner and stop,

The 6.2 speing will allow for 4000-4200 possibly more

nope i would push it in the feild to i had another engine on hand, drive my girls 89 till i found one

I use to have one, its what was in my pump when i bought it, but agnem can probly get them for you, but if you have never hit the rev limit then how do you know you dont already have a 3800 rpm spring?
