Pulled this from a low millage 95 f250 4x4. Bought it for my crewcab but dont really need it.

Worked fine when pulled but has been sitting in the barn for about a year.

I lost 3rd gear last week and my trans guy wants $1550 for a rebuild. Is there any chance of a boob express mission to get this thing closer to nj?

You need to find a new guy, that's way to much in my book.

I just traded this tranny to my brother, but he may still Get rid of it lol. Ill check for ya. If not I can probably find another one.

My experience with ZF5's is the parts are expensive. $800 to replace the reverse slider, gear, and synchro.

Price would be dropping truck off and picking it up. A rebuild goes for a grand on flea bay, $250 shipping, $300 to install? I don't know??? I am not used to having people work on my stuff but this didn't seem like a terrible price.:dunno I would enjoy the lower 1st and 2rd gear of a gasser zf though.:sly

Do you think you could get a 5 speed for a chevy 4x4 for around that price range ... I am going to be doing a cummins conversion in a suburban and would like to switch it to a manual o/d
