For me personally, I have have no cons for the SMF.
DMF will fail again with enough time.

Ok so it sounds like I'm going to go with a single mass flywheel? Any particular brands? ..... on another term I got the engine out of the 7.3.... kida a pain in the ass considering you have to remove the oil filter and that one sneaky grounding wire on the back of the block. After I separated the trans and the engine I found some carnage.... missing clutch fingers and I couldn't find anything left of a throw out bearing.

Ok so I pulled the valve covers just because I was curious and everything looks nice and clean except for the forward most injector harmed plug.. it looks like a piece of tar. Did it short and melt the plastic?

Do you plan on upping the power later on?
If so, maybe look into a dual disk clutch.
Otherwise luk is the norm.

Looks to me like part of the TOB was behind the pressure plate.

For the UVCH, that's the norm actually. The glowplugs tend to burn the harness. I would replace the glowplugs, and do the UVCH and pigtails. Stick with motorcraft. Also you upgrade to the SD style with one center plug.

What kind of power can the luk clutch take? I don't plan on ever getting close the 500 hours power

A lot. Even stock head bolts have been known to go over 500 hp without issue.
A lot of it is in the tuning too.
