I just bought a very clean 86 f250 w a6.9 and a 4 speed. I am spoiled from my 00F350 PSD that was chipped. I know my 6.9 will never make any good power reliably. My question for you guys is. How can i make 400hp reliably for towing and everyday use in a 12V. and how difficut is it to put in a 86 f250? Can i use a ford 5spd diesel trans behind a 12v?

the 400hp mark from what i hear is very easily done with the p pumped 12 valve,,, for the for 5 spd it can be used trust me this is in my 94 an as for swapping into an 86 i cant say but i'm sure someone else can

also i got the adaptor plate and motor mounts from fordcummins worked really well

My big concern is will i loose drivability w a 400hp 12V I dont really have any drive time behind a worked up mechanical motor. I was also thinkin about puttin in a 95 PSD out of a complete truck i have:dunno

i doubt you would lose any drivability since there are guys running 500-600hp towing and driving it everyday
