    installing a factory turbo from a 1993 on a 1991 non turbo engine. Ran into a problem with the turbo oil fitting. 1993 block has 1/4 pipe thread for turbo oil line. 1991 block has 1/8 pipe thread. Will the 1/8 pipe fitting flow enough oil to the turbo?

    Oil pan gasket and price of motor mounts

    Replacing oil pan gasket on my 7.3. Purchased Felpro part 0S 34200 C. My pan only had RTV for the gasket. Is this what the factory used ? Should I use the Felpro gasket or just RTV ? The gasket is cork and rubber composit and is one piece type. Anyone ever use it ? Also, priced new motor...

    Will a 5sp trans from a 1993 7.3 idi turbo engine bolt up to a 1991 7.3 that had an E4od. Do the turbo engines have a special crankshaft.

    That's the same route I planed. I forgot about the DPS, they can make life real interesting !! The more I think about it , I may try to borrow my friends 2009 Dodge dully. I like the van too much and would hate to ruin it by not taking people's advice. Thanks again for the good advice.

    Door tag only shows GVWR of 9500. I think CGVWR is listed on later models.. My is a 1991.
