anyone ever convert a van from automatic to manual trans?
I'm seriously considering buying a good running, rust free '85 IDI extended van for sale locally. I'm a die hard manual shifter from way back and it's my dream to own a manual trans 6.9/7.3 IDI (turbo) extended van, has it ever been done???- wiguy

picked up an awesome new IDI, might have f-ed up using starting fluid
found this awesome '87 F350 CC in my sig for cheap I couldn't say no to! thing had been sitting with a no-start issue since last year which ended up being glow plug controller failure, when i got it home i was eager to see if it would start so i confirmed i had fuel pressure at the schrader...- wiguy

tranny problem???
tranny (T19) problem??? recently i've noticed when i go down a hill it seems like my truck is in neutral for a couple seconds when i hit the gas again after coasting, then it seems to kick in and run fine. Is it my tranny? thanks for any help!- wiguy

glow plug controller or solenoid bad?
glow plugs stuck in head after relay failure went out to start my truck this morning (-10F), started up fine, let it warm up for 15 minutes while i went back in the house, came back out and my glow plug light was still on! drove to work and ran fine but glow plug light stayed on the whole...- wiguy

Hello, I am having a problem with my 1986 F350 with the 6.9idi and manual 4 speed transmission. I have read many other posts on this site and they have given me great insight on these trucks as i have never owned a diesel and just bought mine this summer.
