FS: US Shift trans controller kit for E4od

I bought a US Shift (Baumann controls) controller and wiring kit and installed it on my ford van with an e4od transmission. I installed it in late May 2014 and used it for about six months until I scrapped the van and got a new one. It worked great. I planned to install it in the new van but it...

Should I be concerned (water in oil)?

After noticing the water in the filter and posting about it I also noticed condensation in the filler neck. I googled that symptom and it seems to be fairly common for folks on short runs in cooler weather. I had started the van drove it maybe two miles and then shut it down for the oil change...

Should I be concerned (water in oil)?

When I change the oil I drain the pan and then use a punch to make a hole in the bottom of the filter. As soon as I broke though the metal I got water droplets. I would estimate a teaspoon maybe less came out then just normal black oil. I didn't see anything when I opened the drain valve on the...

    Normal glow plug relay operation.

Yesterday I replaced auto lite glow plugs from PO with motorcraft. Two were burned out so lots of smoke when starting. Before I put the new plugs in the plugs would cycle with clicking sound and gauge jumping after the wait to start light went out. After the new plugs were in the wait to...

WTB: 93 or 94 electric cruise control module

I'm really not sure what they are worth…$40? Do you need the cable or the module or both? The cable I have is approximately 62 inches.

    IP Storage

I replaced my 94 van with a 92 van and have been moving some good parts over. Would like to remove IP because I just had it replaced 20k miles ago and keep it for a spare. New van only has 100k on it so it might be a few years till I need it and I don't know the correct way to store a pump...

    idi lift pump leak

Mechanical wins for simplicity and cost. I Wouldn't worry to much about messing up the arm. If you are worried about it you are going to be paying attention so you're are good. The hardest part is getting the bolts started / tightened. I was worried too so I used a mirror and a flashlight after...

    idi lift pump leak

Not likely the arm is going to break. You would have to be very rough with it for that to happen. I don't think this job requires a whole lot of mechanical skills. Getting the electric pump to put out the correct psi and wiring it correctly are the only technical parts. I made a mistake when...

    idi lift pump leak

I've debated this a lot too but I always come back to the idea of mechanical pump failure causing engine damage. I tried using a brand new mechanical pump to move WVO and it just couldn't handle it. ( not too mention plumbing was a nightmare) I would vote for going electric. I like to keep...

    Too much return fuel?

I have not had any experience negative or positive concerning the heater. I was thinking more about the water in fuel sensor and vacuum switch. I was thinking to save money by reusing the stock filter heads. Seems like a 12" Racor water separator would be better than stock and two would be much...

    Too much return fuel?

Filters I got on Racors website and found some filters that seem like they would work with the stock filter head. In particular a S3225S filter. Its 2 micron 4.4 diameter and 5 inches long. It seems like it would fit but i can't figure out if it needs a bowl attached to the bottom or what...

    Too much return fuel?

That's exactly what I plan to. Im running 4an stainless hose straight to a mechanical gauge so it should be pretty accurate. I was looking at some racor filters last night. You think the stock filter does well enough on water just to loose on particulates? Just wondering if I used a water...

    Too much return fuel?

I can't say I know wether the van tanks are better than the trucks? This is my second van. First had 260k on it when I stopped driving it because it was so rusty. I've never had any tank related problems. I usually run them down to at least 1/8 of a tank before I fill up and filling speed hasn't...

    Too much return fuel?

I really appreciate all the good advice. Any more specifics about filter setup would be great. I may not have the time or funds for it at this point but I think it would be a really good upgrade. I didn't think about putting it in the filler. I'm not familiar with what the showerhead is but I'm...

    Too much return fuel?

That doesn't look to bad. Thanks for the part numbers. I'm guessing there is a way to reach inside the tank then? If you were me would you just sell the raptor, buy a carter or other hundred dollar pump, with correct psi and gph, do away with the regulator and be done with it?

    Too much return fuel?

How would you plumb that return line into the tank? I've never had the tank down to look at the top of it. Would I need to weld a fitting on? Don't have a welder, so looking for an easy solution. I'll look at racor.
