Instead of retyping it all theres the current thread, any electrical gurus have any ideas?
So looking to rebuild my drivetrain/suspension from the transfer case forward and was wondering if anyone had a parts list/requirement. (Since Ive never gotten around to getting my D60)
So my craigslist mojo is failing me yet again, wondering if anyone has (or can find :) ) a damage/rust free bricknose extended cab, cab near Denver for a reasonable price. :dunno
So I decided to follow the general knowledge base on rear brake shoe size when I was getting the parts (91 SRW F250) so got the 2.5" wide shoes vs the 3", just went to slap the new ones on (after having the parts for 2 months...) and found that I have 3" wide shoes vs the 2.5" so apparently not...
Looking to add an electric fuel pump under the truck between the transfer case and front tank however Im not 100% sure on which line is supply vs return or best way to splice into them. (bottom line is brakes)
So thanks to the lovley cab corner rust on my truck (repairable but expensive) Im thinking of getting a new cab and just swapping it over, unfortunately I have a few mods done here and there to this truck so wondering what all was different between the 2 cabs. (mainly in the interior/visor area...
Does the E40d have a vent to atmosphere? If so figuring the unit is submerged (in say a river :sly) would it be safe to assume water would get in? Already figure Id have to drain/fill the diffs but curious if the tranny would be likely to get water in it as well.
So went racing over the weekend and after a hard fought battle got first both days (probably traded position a dozen times in 21 laps Sat, 3-6 Sun) have the front brakes go out on the cooldown lap so when I go to stop for impound I cant... I get back home and while backing into the driveway...
So in the intrest of upgrading the offroadability of my tow rig (only 4X4 rig Ive got so it pulls double duty) and after getting stuck in a friends driveway yesterday (buried it up to the framerails in snow) was looking at possible tire/wheel upgrades and was wondering if you could go up to a...
So Im redoing all my steering hardware from the pitman arm up to the firewall (gearbox, shaft, pump/reservoir and hoses) however I want to get all the parts together before I tear it all apart, a quick search for the pressure hoses returns 7 possibles for a 7.3IDI 91 F250. Anyone have a part...
So in the process of restoring my steering system (Ive got enough play to park a bus in) was wondering what peoples recomendations were for a better then stock steering shaft (firewall to gearbox) my current one has a ton of slop in the slip joint which is where most my play is coming from...
Those of you that have the max cool tranny cooler have any of you found a source for 90 degree fittings? Everyone I checked locally doesnt have them :(
First off 100% hypothetical
If for whatever reasson your ignition cylinder quit working, broke your key etc and were unable to start your truck to drive it home beyond the 1 wire to keep it running and 1 for the starter (trying to keep it partly vague...) anything specfic required for the E40D...
So in my stupidity I either forgot to take off or lost the fitting that goes on the front of the IP when replacing it, anyone have a spare they can send my way? (straight version not 90)
Got the flatbed laying on the frame finnaly (still need to plan/make brackets) but ran into a small problem, I had assumed I could just use my stock filler necks and mount them to the bed however when I went to try the best I could get was the filler neck upside down. Am I just missing something...
Alright so doing reaserch on custom light setup for my flatbed and trying to figure out what all is required to run LEDs, some say just change to an electronic flasher others say you need a resistor or the TC wont lockup due to it thinking your on the brakes. Any ideas which is closer to accurate?
This may be a dumb question but after removal of my bed the rear tank started leaking so went out tonight with the intention of taking the tank out to track down the source...got the straps out but the only way I can lift it at all is by the filler neck and then itll only move a 1/4 inch or so...
Alright as stated in another thread I finnaly got a new bed for my truck (took a while to find one I can afford) however it appears instead of drilling holes to re-use the factory bolts the designer of this bed instead just welded brackets to the frame/bed in the same general locations then cut...
Anyone have issues with under bed mounted batteries when it comes to water crossings? (Had a longer post but page froze and lost it so you get the short version)
Dana 60 FS
Figured Id post this up if anyone had the $$ (Id love it but cant afford it atm) since it appears to be the rare kingpin dana 60 (I think) and comes with everything to bolt it up (personally Id rebuild it first but thats just me) also comes with a rear axle if you want to upgrade to...
