Thank you Genscripter
I'll see if I can get to those bolts but I can't post a pic until tomorrow that's as soon as I'll get back to the vehicle. Unfortunately I'm moving at the end of the week so I'm pressed getting stuff together and finishing a bathroom and kitchen before we move and of course...
Well that's discouraging! I think I'm going to try to get that pulley off anyway and hope for the best. I pulled the whole bracket assembly off of a truck. It had the Vac pump power steering pump and tensioner on it. Didn't look like I can do that with the van but I will check.
it didn't look like the belt tensioner shock would be hard to take off but with mine it's not going to come off. I can't check it out right now because the bus is broke down away from home but I think the bolt is spinning and I can't hold the nut.
Thanks for the reply Macrobb. The piston blocks access to one bolt completely. I did take a pump off a truck with no problems inching all bolts out together, but the bus is much harder.
Anyone know if it's a special puller or will a universal work?
I have a 94 E350 with a 7-3 IDI and I can't seem to figure out how to get the vacuum pump off! Do I need to pull the pulley? And if so anyone know if the rentals from AutoZone or Advanced will work? BTW, I have some kind of little stabilizer or tensioner piston on the right side of my pulley...
Enough spring to keep from leaking. I didnt pull check, just took line off and stuck a alan wrench in there.
Must be something stuck in the seat i cant see.
Checked check valve. Seems free but it makes sense this is problem. Feel pulse little in return line and has not been going in gear very quick at start up. Especilly reverse. Could that be TC draining?
Ok thanks again!
Switched horn and teca relay. No change.
Tried to pinpoint where noise is coming from? Sounds closer to rear trans line. Don't think its electrical.
Thanks FORD250HDXLT!
Now I will look up TECA selonoid and how to do it but it's slow going internet wise right now. In the middle of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest right now, internet is my smart phone w/ poor signal. This here response is 1/2 hr!
Can anyone tell me what burns up...
Still poking around in the short bus.
O/D button started flashing and noticed noise like fluid pressure being released in oil pan. Continues for minute or two after shut down.
On way to Marqette UP Michigan tomorrow, would like to know whats up.
Any ideas?
Does not seem overly hot and...
I don't like knowingly ruining something too...or throwing out something useful. I striped the engine (alt, started, IP,etc and will be wraping and stowing under the bus somewhere...maybe wired to the axle ;Sweet
So far from what I read, I think my inline filter just before the IP is a great solution for these WVO IP problems.
I think a lot of people get WVO and Biodiesel confused. I don't think vegetable oil eats anything.
WVO is waste vegetable oil mostly collected from restaurants w/fryers
New...
Nice job! I'll be interested in how that pump works too. I recently installed a airtex pump but I'm not happy with it. I don't have a gauge on the system but feel it's not putting out the 7-12 psi it's supposed to. Looking for a better pump.
Yeah I don't want to scrap the engine, but have no where to store it!
Sold Tranny and transfer case, sorry steamtownwelde.
I'll check the seats. I think the driver side is ripped. I think it's a straight bench.
Thanks for the input. About the hard start when hot heat soak problem...I had a 6.2 that had that problem bad. Left me stuck on jobs all the time. I got to thinking the diesel is too thin so I poured a gal of veg oil right in the diesel tank, never had the problem again! I didn't do it in winter...
Don't know which pump I have, I will check. Which is better? Pump is white plastic if that helps.
Tempted to pull the steer box, redgear will give $100 for big spline boxes. But the bus box was a major PITA to pull!
