I just built my exhaust last month and used a Diamond Eye 3"dp to 4" straight pipe exhaust system for the 94-97 PSD. I cut the flange off the turbo outlet and used a 3" v-band flange kit from eBay to fab up the dp. Came out really nice and definitely runs a lot better. The exhaust system also...
Yes in this instance you dont need to change the oil warm. You're only trying to get the contaminated stuff out, so you may want to use a cheap oil. Change it with the cheap oil, drive it 500-1000 miles, and change it again.
I will do some more looking around then. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt gunna be the only one to give away his first born so he could rebuild his oil cooler.
Why are the o-rings for the oil cooler $110cookoo? Does anyone know where I might be able to get them cheaper? This is the fordparts.com price and I couldn't find them anywhere else...:dunno
One more question, does anyone have a way to get a hold of Russ outside of the sites PM's? I'd like to see how soon he can have me a set of injectors since this is my daily driver. Thanks again guys!

Update
Just had my injectors pop tested...every one failed miserably. They looked like someone turned on a faucet. Combine that with the fact that I'm running WMO and you'll see where this is going.
I called Blackstone this morning and they said the analysis was really odd because they NEVER...
Yeah I keep getting the same resolution which is "just drive it and check it again next oil change". I will be rebuilding the oil cooler though no matter what, it just seems like the next logical thing to do whether its the problem or not. I dont know why it says 6k on the readout though, I went...
One more thought. I replaced the return line kit and copper injector seals a while back. When I did this, I noticed that 5-6 the injectors were wet and one had a really bad rust spot on the body. At the time I didn't know this could be an issue, but I now know that this may be the symptoms of...
I also dont think I have much blow by. When I changed the oil, I had the oil cap removed while it was running after I had added the new stuff. There was nearly no air coming from the oil filler neck, but there was a ticking noise. I dont know about the ticking noise, but there definitely wasnt...
Could the WMO be contaminating my engine oil and showing up in the report as wear? When in reality, the motor is not actually wearing excessively, but I'm showing a higher level of metals because of the fuel I'm using? You may have said that in your post, but I'm just thinking out loud here. I'd...
I will send off the sample today, but I dont think this is the cause. I have only been running the WMO for about 3 weeks now and its really only been one batch (about 47gals). I'm on my second batch right now and I've only ran about half a tank. Either way, I'll send out the sample today and see...
I just pulled the radiator cap again and did notice some very small chunks of what looks like rubber. Could these be the seals in the oil cooler breaking down? Could there be a small leak in the oil cooler and maybe not enough oil in the coolant to notice? My coolant looks brand new with no...
This is definitely not possible. I get all my WMO from a friend at a BMW dealership. He has a completely separate barrel that he uses just for my oil. So unless a car comes in with a blown head gasket or a crankcase full of AF, I'm positive I dont have any AF in the WMO. I also filter down to 3...
I sent out my first oil sample on the truck I purchased in Feb. I did an oil change when I first got it, so this oil is all "my driving" and nothing from the PO. Blackstone called and said there's coolant in the oil and lots of wear happening. The truck has been running great with the exception...
AFE Big Boost Filter
NMB2 - Have you looked into the AFE Big Boost filter? Its a washable filter and is a direct replacement for the 6637, but is made to handle more boost.
Mine would not cold idle either when I first purchased the truck. I checked the solenoid to make sure it was energizing first and then I adjusted my rod out while the solenoid was energized until I had around 900rpm. Works great now. I wouldnt say your IP throttle is out of whack, I'd say the...
I just installed a complete turbo back PSD exhaust this weekend and it came out really nice. I used a 3" flange kit off eBay to make a nice v-band style flange for the down pipe. I followed two threads to make mine:

I acquire all my oil from a BMW dealership. 95% of this is synthetic and I burn it with no problems whatsoever. 25% WMO to diesel and filtered to 1 micron will cause you no problems.
I was kinda suspecting both actually. When I first bought the truck, I replaced the return line kit and injector washers. I didn't know very much about these motors when I did the return lines, but I think I recall the injectors being wet when I had them out. There was also a good amount of...
My idle surges really hard in the morning while warming up and now slightly after it warms up. At first it was only during warm up in the morning, but now its all the time. In the morning its 300-400rpm and once it warms up it'll surge 100-200rpm. I changed out the fuel filter and same problem...
I'm having the same problem with the idle surging about 200rpm. In the morning when its cooler (I'm in Las Vegas so we're talking about 70 degrees), it will surge even worse. IP failing?
