PSD swap questions... planning stage
No the brick nose has different locations and different holes in the firewall. You would be wise to cut out the 87 firewall and use the 92-97 firewall. You will also need to weld new tabs on for the different dash board. and i say good luck doing the swap in just one week- Diesel_brad

Quick Question Re: ZF5 fluid
2 gallons? WHY? It only calls for 6.8 PINTS or 3.4 Quarts. All you will do with 2 gallons is airerate the fluid and starve the bearings and syncros of oil. MAYBE a quart more to quite rollover noise but not a whole gallon. And that is a SUPER deal on the trans, wish it was closer- Diesel_brad

E brake cables are about $30-$40 for Each cable from FORD Depending which cable(s) are froze dictates the cost. You can replace Every cable for under $200- Diesel_brad

My brother is looking at trading his 04 Polaris Switchback 800 sled(dropped valve) for a 92/93 F350 crew cab IDI 4wd 5speed. Kinda rough but no rust on the cab and comes with a spare bed. He just has to make sure the truck is not a money pit- Diesel_brad

I used the redline MTL in my ZF before the rebuild. I just run synthetic Valvoline since the rebuild- Diesel_brad
