I've made a deal for the 2 donor vehicles. ;Sweet

the first is a 1986 4x4 Bronco with a fuel injected 302 that will see its way into my boat as a side effect of this project

The second is a 1986 F350 4x2 crew cab, baby blue, with a carbed 460 and a ZF5.

The third is a 198? truck I already own with a 6.9 and it came with a 4x4 diesel ZF5 that needs a quick overhaul in the bed.

Plan is to pick up the bronco today and the F350 as soon as I can work out the details with the seller and verify his paperwork :D

Photos to come soon!

I'll be linking to pertinant threads below, if it says "Tag" it hasn't been filled in yet, makes it easier for me to add without going ADVANCED ;Sweet

Is the bronco already a 4 door?

SWS

doesn't sound like it.

that is kinda how the PO on my old truck did the crew cab conversion.

i've been thinking of somthing like this but with a shorter bed for my powerstroke.

I was told to do this, and I didn't.

DO THIS!

THIS:

Use the frame half of the Bronc, not just the tub. WIll save you so much work.

DO a search for Hidalgo on FourDoorBronco, or here, more in depth there.

And also, 79time, and InfoFord. Info built his own, FOrd showroom quality, or better, much better than Centurions quality. Info DID NOT build his own, but he posted the build pics from when he acquired it done, and there was some thought in the build, e.g. it was done correctly.

Will take some pics of the frame splice and body splice's on Clyde for ya....

Basically you will lose 28" of wheelbase from the CC. gaining 35" (Bronc's are 105", sticker inside the door jamb) over the Bronc.

Also, either Kaparzak, or Kasparzak85, they are brothers, was attempting a 6 door Bronco, must be a UT thing... :D (anyone but me catch the polygamy reference), think it was KAsparzak.. do a search for that as well.

Pics in order, butt weld seam one, two and three, 4 is fish plate, inside frame rail, 5 is driver side seam, 6 and 7, are rear door seam.

I had one of those trucks in my shop two years ago, "Bushpig7" now has it. that extra two feet made it a real bear manuvering the truck. CC 4x4 are bad enough already, these are worsecookoo

The crew cab isn't mine just yet, but we're close.
