E-Fuel Conversion and R&D IDI Performance IP!

IP is done as is lift pump(leaking). E-fuel conversion and R&D IDI Performance 90cc IP time!

I am going with a new OEM lift pump found on the '98-'03 7.3L superduties. I ordered it from Strictly Diesel

im curious, why did you go with the R&D pump over a moose?

My engine is completely rebuilt :) but went way over budget, and have to get some other **** settled before the old lady will let me get a new pump to throw on it...

R&D cheaper? more fuel per buck? i dont even know the CC on a stock pump, and im to lazy to search, just looking at options for a few months from now

What are the flow specs on that Holley? I like how you mounted it straight into the filter header, no extra brackets to mess with.

flow as in gph? i have no idea. pressure it is 4.5-9psi. 3/8" NPT fittings.

i was originally gonna mount it on the back side of the coolant filter bracket but once i got to looking at things, i realize how tight the brackets were and stuff. so i held the reg up the way i have it now and like that better.

BTW, i am going to put that plastic wire loom on all the fuel hose. need to buy some.

Ah. I'm a moron. That's the regulator not the pump. So the output is 3/8 npt? Is the input just a hose barb type thing? Push the line on and clamp it? Is the regulator really necessary? I though the IP could tolerate up to like 9 psi without any major timing issues. :dunno

I still like this.

Nice install, I'll be watching for the results of that new IP.

Was your core rebuilt or is it a totally new to you IP?

Are you concerned that the pump may get hot? I guess it shouldn't but you are returning a large amount of fuel if it is supplying at 60 psi.

Still intrigued. Let us know how it does once you put a few miles on it if you don't mind.
