wheel adapters?

http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/4483136267.html I know this has been beat like a dead horse but I've seen plenty of trucks like this with super duty wheels.......what gives? Adapters or how is this possible....? I've read that this won't work but it does with him....

With as narrow as that track width looks, I'd say it isn't adapters. Maybe it has super duty axles in it? The hubs look like they might be the cheesy plastic jobbers?

Could be some Mickey Thompson wheels too.

I think those might be SD caps on aftermarket wheels, maybe? I've been looking for some caps to try this myself. Seems like it might be
a little cheaper than axle swapping.
