Been a long time since I was here but I could sure use some help with my Yukon.
04 with 118k miles never towed and 90% highway miles, last trans flush was about 40k miles ago the fluid is still red with only a slight smell. It quit working without warning, no clunking, hard shifts or slipping. After the ignition is turned off for a short time it goes into gear and shifts through all 4 just fine but disengages after a short time...over and over. This seems like an elcetronic problem to me but the "service engine" light has not come on. Do shift solenoids just randomnly go bad? could it be an ignition switch possibly?
