need a engine?

my son has dropped a valve in his f250, he wants a cummins but will take about anything that will work for him.. Any suggestions or does anybody know anybody with one for sale.... Thanks

if you have $10k stashed to do the conversion, great. If not, drop in another IH idi motor. I usually buy complete trucks and srtip them for their motors. Take a look around CL

I would work with what you have in this situation. Rebuild the heads and replace the piston it dropped the valve in. I am assuming this is the only damage..Dropping a cummins in is going to expensive!! and time consuming.

I have one here in Maryland-but you are going to have to come get it.It is an 86 6.9.

I posted one from craigslist a few days ago. It was a 6.9 with little under 200,000 miles. He wanted $300 and also came with a set of fresh rebuilt heads. He lives about 20 miles from me. The motor is already pulled though so I couldn't hear it run. you will have to look through my old post.
