Mpg what to expect

20mpg should be doable on a road trip if its mostly stock. sticking to the original tire size and having 3.55s is a plus. your driving habits can make a big difference too . short trips at low temps can gobble fuel.

there are so many variables and everybody drives different. I drive 2 lane roads on my commute 110mile round trip, if I feel like passing a lot or I'm running late it can affect my fuel economy as much as 4mpg empty. mine is a 7.3 PSD E350 Van with high mileage. and in the winter I get better fuel economy hauling my loaded trailer behind me than I get empty because it runs hotter.

Maby you want to install a higher temp thermostat then?

Or, if it's transmission temp that's affecting it, how about a thermostat valve for the cooler? Something to control the temps better.
