DRW sucks for traction compared to SRW,i dunno how people used the giant sinking ships on wet grass, let alone a little mud or snow that makes mine sit and not even think about moving forward without locking the hubs in.

They were actually quite capable off road for there size, ours could go places my dads 05 F250 FX4 can't... You have to remember they had alot of weight on the drives.

Frame width on a cab n chassis is 3" narrower than a pickup.
With fresh springs the overloads would just touch at max RAGWR.

Is the front frame narrower though? I thought they just narrowed at the back of the cab?

Also these all used 16" wheels correct, unlike the gm 3500HD that used the 19.5" wheels. SOO with how much these trucks are rated for, what 16" tire is rated for that is a DRW application. Highest SRW config i have seen for a 16" is 3700 lbs and thats a 285.

The average 235/85/16 is rated at 3042 lb. multiply that times 6 and you get 18,252 lbs which is more than the 15,000 GVW
