I cant live with out a tach anymore

Ive got all my gauges now except a tach and I hate it. What is the best setup for the money? The best I have seen is 124 bucks for an autometer 5K diesel tach that draws signal from the alternator. Anybody done one of these? Id like to get out a little cheaper though. If anybody has a factory timing cover and sensor PM me and I will buy it

I used an ISSPRO tach, it cost me around $200 if I remember right. It draws its signal from two magnets that you glue on the harmonic dampner. Its worked great for me so far, I havent had any issues with it.

i might be able to get you the factory cover and sensor theres a truck at a local wrecker that i seen last week i am going back wedsday to get some parts from it. ill let you know

I have a 7.3 timing gear cover free to anybody who needs it. No sensor though.
