ENGINE TEMP LIGHT ON DASH ON HELP

So my engine temp light on the dash panel is on and wont go out the truck does not overheat so im thinking the sender is bad but where is it on the PSD i know the idi pretty well but still learning about the PSD so any help would be greatly appricated.. about the truck 97 2x4 326000 PSD

I believe it is located on the water pump. Should be a one wire sensor.
