Clear fuel hose placement

I would like to install some clear fuel hose in my 93 F350 7.3. I was just wondering if a small section between the fuel pump and filter and a small section between the filter and the return lines will be sufficient. I am just trying to monitor any air leaks that mite be inherit to my system. I have changed all hoses from the tanks to the pumps but I still fromm time to time wind up with air in my lines.

i don't see any problem with it should be enough to find leaks. have you changed the pick up tubes in the tank, and the return lines cause those tend to be the worst culprits.

Have replaced the pickups in both tanks, new 6 way valve. electric Walbro pump, still getting air. Bled each injector at the head with my wife cranking. Dont know what else I could change to increase drivability. The wife refuses to ride with me as she worrys that we will wind up on the side of the road. Been towed 3 times so far.

You don't mention the return lines and the o rings under the caps. These are notorious for leaking. The kit to replace all of them is cheap $35 or so. Please try that before modifying the fuel system with non stock pieces.
Air leaks can be extremely frustrating, even if you don't have your wife worrying. Good luck!

and the e pump did you stuff something up into the plastic lines that you cut to keep them from collapsing?

I used a piece of brass brakline or hydraulic line or something. anyway you find something that isnt to thick so it doesn't restrict the flow to much but it has to be hard because that plastic will collapse and leak on you, even if you don't have fuel leaks air is a whole lot easier to suck than to spit fuel out. the brass inserts that they sell at hardware stores will work but my local hardware store didnt have the right size insert.

Part number and store chain that carries a "Kit" ? The stealership says I have to buy everything as individual peices.

I have all new return lines and washers on this veh. I can only assume that when they put the new 6 way valve on they only bled one of the tank lines to get it started and let me pick it up. I am going to cross my fingers and hope that I can get into town today.
