Its time for the truck to go, but I don't want it to go to the scrap heap, I'm sure someone here might be interested.

Its an 85 F250 4x2 6.9l with 200k miles. A bunch of pictures are at the link below. It has not run for 2 years, the glow plug circuit is the issue. It will crank strong and you can smell the diesel, just no pop without the glow plugs.

When it did run, it ran well. I was using to make runs to the dump and to haul the horse trailer which it did really well.

The body has the usual rust and it does not have a tailgate. The truck as far as I can tell was never driven much in the winters and the frame is in really great shape.

Two years ago, I had the whole rear brake system redone. New lines from the master cyclinder back and new shoes and the drums turned, and one new cyclinder in one wheel.

The tires are good all the way around and I think it would pass a state inspection without worry once you got it to start.

PM me if you are interested or have questions. I can get more pictures if requested. Asking $600 obo. I really need this thing gone, if there are no takers, its headed to the scrap heap.

Depending on where you are in Tennessee, you are looking at about a 10 hour drive each way. Any chance you have a trailer you can put it on and tow it home? Might need a winch to get it on the trailer.

If you know how to bypass the glow plugs quickly, I could have the batteries charged and the block heater doing its job, but I wouldn't count on trying to drive it home.

Let me know.
