7.3 idi compression test numbers and discussion
Hey guys! I just did a compression test on my truck while I have it torn apart. New to these motors and diesels in general so if anyone could shine some light on this topic that would be great. Wire routing for EGT sender.
Need to run some wires through the firewall, for EGT and oil pressure gauges. There is no boot around the steering column, and the small grommeted hole behind the clutch pedal is already filled with who knows what. 1989 Diesel Ford F-350 4x4 crewcab longbed in San Diego
Let's start with what's wrong with it; there is coolant in the oil. It started off pretty slightly, and so I rebuilt the heat exchanger. The problem got worse, so I thought maybe it was a head gasket. Now I've had a mechanic look at it, and he's measuring over 25 PSI in the coolant system...- humungus
