    down pipe

Before I cut the DP it would not clear the firewall/floor of the cab. IIRC I had to add a piece or two to get it to fit the way I wanted it too. Also keep in mind that I flipped my exhaust manifold over so the turbo is sitting on top. So that raised the DP up a few inches.

    down pipe

I had to basically make a custom DP for mine. I found a used 4" SS DP for a 2nd gen and modified it to fit. You can see pics of the DP in my Cummins conversion pics in my sig.

Where can I get SS brake line?

You can get lengths of SS tubing at most auto parts stores. Make sure you plan out the bends. SS doesn't like to be bent more than one time in any one place. It work hardens rather quickly. Use a tubing bender for all your bends. Also iirc SS uses a different flaring tool than what is used...

    cummins 12v exhaust manifolds

GoodBOY it is a wastegated turbo, but it is not a stock Dodge actuator, and to tell you the truth I can't even remember what it came off of. ncovey the turbo blanket I got from JEGS. It comes from a company called Thermo Tec. It wasn't cheap and the turbo has to be off the vehicle to...

    cummins 12v exhaust manifolds

This is my truck with a stock 12v manifold flipped over. I could have run it in the stock position, but I want to do twins in the future so I decided I would start off this way. Also if I ever want to go with one of those high dollar three piece manifolds every thing should fit without any...

CHECK OUT this guys truck! To bad he's not a member!

No need to send out the posse all you have to do is PM me here or post something in this thread. The A-pillar pod isn't that difficult I used a three gauge pod for a '92 trimmed it until it fit the stock A-pillar cover. Once the pod is fitted to the cover some small holes will need to be...

    My new project

I hope this is o.k. to post here. Just got my latest project a 1939, D2, Caterpillar with blade. It runs and moves under it's own power, but does need some work. I plan on doing a restoration on it, but not to the point of it being a trailer queen. I want to be able to use it around my...

    gauge pod question

I built a triple gauge pod for my '91, by modifying a triple pod for a '92. No they don't make a triple for the '91 and earlier trucks and before that I used a double pod. The double was far easier than the triple it was just some slight cutting and sanding to get it to fit satisfactorily. The...

h2odrx I could make more intake hats like that, but the cost would be prohibitive. I sold that one for $150 iirc, and I still didn't break even. The cost of aluminum, and the amount of time invested in that one piece I would have to charge $250, or more to make it worth while, or be able to...

CHECK OUT this guys truck! To bad he's not a member!

It doesn't look like my truck is going to make it to the J&H diesel rally this year. I blew something out in the power steering Sunday. I don't even know if it's a hose or seal yet. If I can I will have it up and running for the rally, but time is something I don't have a lot of these days.

    Intercooler

Ottoparts I had no cooling issues what so ever. That was running with the ac all summer long, and we get pretty darn hot around here in the summer. I didn't do any heavy towing though so I can't say in regards too that. I did haul a VW squareback on a car trailer in the summer heat without a...

    Intercooler

Thanks Mel, I didn't think of the radiator itself being so differant. I would have thought that they would just use a rad with fewer rows in the core in non ac equiped trucks like they do in cars. Go figure.

    Intercooler

Mel, I'm curious as to why they wont work? From what I understand the rad support for the diesel trucks is pretty much unchanged from the 80's through the 90's. To answer the original question I used the IC from a 99 Super duty. You can see it here...

CHECK OUT this guys truck! To bad he's not a member!

Hi all, I was wondering what happened to a lot of you guys from TDS. Big Jake clued me in to oilburners. I'm glad you all like my truck, and I really appreciate the compliments. It is a constant work in progress, the next upgrade is going to be a transmission and transfercase, probably a...
