Do what you will, I will use a temperature limiting plug everytime. That way, I don't have to concern myself with heavy fingers or poor timing or anything since the GPs will not burn up. The military CUCVs or HUMVEES use them.
What was the Part# of the autolites?
The next question is what GP to use. Here is where the fun begins. I profess using AC12Gs or Autolite 1109s. They are temperature limiting via. A built in positive temperature coefficient resistance coil in series with the heating coil. This allows the GP...
The reason HHO improves the burn of the existing fuel is that it burns at a high temperature at around 8000 feet per second. What results is all of the fuel is being burned before the exhaust valve opens so nothing is wasted in the exhaust stream. Nothing scientific, just common sense.
The Holley Red is overkill. The EP80 is a solenoid pump like GM used on the fake diesels they were peddling. The mechanical pump can push fuel through it and they were designed to go on the engine. Also about half the price.
I cut the line between the mechanical pump and the filter. Used the hole for the drain line to hang the pump from. I wired a switch so I can control it at will. I am running my 85 6.9 strictly off of the electric pump. I used a EP80 from Autozone ~ 50 bucks.
