Sorry for the delay but work has been brutal lately.
I dont think I'll be much help in finding the parts on the cheap for the harness swap cause I went & got all the items off a bad engine. If a guy went & bought new - the valve cover gaskets & inner harnesses would be fairly cheap but to...
I have done the conversion but cant take any credit as that would go to Ky Diesel for being the one to bring that lil upgrade to the 94-97 crowd.
I hope this ends the burnt harness probelms to a standstill or at least curbs the problem.
Theres some pics in my webshots showing the bladder in the seat - its not too bad a job to get out but I dont have a clue if availible from Ford. I would think it would be. A boneyard would be a best bet as far as price I'd wager.
The only thing to be careful of is when skinning off the...
might want to do some internet digging around as most are made by purolator/Wix/Fram etc... & see who makes it for Penzoil.
If its made by the first 2 I wouldnt hesitate to buy & use it but it was a relabeled Fram I wouldnt touch it :backoff
Cheers
Howdy Sounds like a classic case of a bad IPR 0-ring (Injector Pressure regulator) its mounted on the back of the high pressure oil pump. The basic jist of it is cold oil is thicker & will allow the regulator to build enough oil presssure to allow it to start even with some getting around the...
I cheated & got a 94-97 bracket from Dale Isley & got rid of the 99 & up bracket. I have heard you can bend the bracket to work on our models.
Now finding the plug :puke: Thats a chore usually! Whoever decided to stuff it up in the dash on assembly is well... cookoo
It will be...
I will be down there one day mark it on the calendar but I just dont know when.
Its a toss up if Tam & I get to go to Indy this year due to having a hard time gettting vacation signed up in the summer & she wont let me go by myself :Sly
pretty neat aint it - I figured I could speak a lil more like myself here so I figured I would give it a try (plus I like the GGG section) it shows up as oilburners on the bottom of the puter so the old lady stays off my back :draw
Well I have told & convinced myself its not leaking that bad to go thru with jerking the old stock turbo out just yet.
I have heard of the guys going with the 10 bolt 3" intakes off the newer engines & having to "ding" the intakes to get em on - I got a set laying out there & there looks...
For any folks out of warranty or choose to do your own anyways, POR makes a great product that will take the abuse & stay on a oil pan - It will just about hold oil in a rotted out pan with holes if prepped right.
POR 15's website
Cheers
 Damn Thats not what I was wanting to hear - it started raining when I went to button er up so I quit for the day & thought I may find someone that says "oh yeah, take a whizbanger socket with 2 u-joints & 6 extensions on go from the tranny end" or something like that :frustrate...
Hey Bean
If you get deep into the hood deal, remember one thing if you do a cowl induction style, allow enough room on the cowl section stepping back towards the window for the wipers to work back & forth without hitting the cowls lip with the hood fully raised.
(lesson learned here by...
here Hey Folks
This is kind of a repeat of a post I have on another site & thought I'd see if I get any more bites on it to see if I'm overlooking something simple.
Heres a quick copy/paste
How has or has anyone pulled the drivers side stamped steel intake plenum off the head without...
That'll work fine & dandy Travis Thanks! I even got a few of those studs like you show on the pic to make up for the thickness of the metal from where I canned that metal lipped thing on the rear of the drivers side valve cover
I'll make me one up to use on the ol girl :Thumbs Up
After reading your post Phil - I finally got my butt in gear & did some searching myself to find my high pitched squeal & found it on the pass side /front /top of intake plenum at the long bare spot bewteen bolts.
Glad you posted this as I needed to do this & check it out as my leak was...
Howdy
You can purchase new fuel caps at International for about $5-10 bucks each & even come with a new gasket like the filters do vs buying from Ford which will try & rape ya at about $40 each
Please dont waste your money on the filters that come with the preinstalled lids as they...
Hey Folks,
Just thought I saw a few familiar names & trucks & thought I'd drop in a Howdy from me too.
This looks like a pretty fun place to hang out & BS without getting pounded so bad.
Have a good one :smoke:
