    Thanks for the replies. I am afraid you're right on the bad pump. It failed the warm water test and cranked right up. i have removed it and have sent it back for replacement under warranty. I'll keep you posted as to how smooth the customer service was...right. I found the thread on Diesel...

    Howdy guys My 88 7.3 will start easily when the engine is cold, but after she warms up and sits for few minutes, she will crank and crank but no start. wd-40 spray in intake has no effect. Truck has a rebuilt injector pump (Diesel Care) and new delphi injectors I installed a few weeks ago...

    looking for a C6 trans - some help needed please

    Loud! I'll second the loud part....My truck has the c-6 and 4:10 gears, screams at 65mph. If you want to go the e40D route, Baumann electronics makes a box to control the transmission without a central computer, runs around $500. IMHO that's a much better solution for this day and age...

    Bought first diesel today

    trans problem Hey guy my C-6 did the same thing, the first time the builder did not flush out the trans cooler and it was blocked up. The trans simply overheated and died. After the flush out and rebuild, no more problems. great score, by the way!:thumbsup:

    The mystery solved! Gracias, I'll look there in the morning, but I don't remember seeing any type of sensor there, I'll have to look closer. Screw in brass sort of thing with wires, is it?:confused:

    I have a 88 7.3, non turbo... does anybody know where the temp switch is that controls the high idle and timing advance? I have no power to that circuit on cold starts. Thanks! BZ:dunno

    Hello, I'm changing the injectors in my 7.3 and two of the old ones came out with rusty gunk on the sides of the injectors running up to just under the threads. Two others had oily burnt residue on the sides. All the old injectors were pretty clean at the tips. The truck has 169K on it. It's...
