Banks Sidewinder different styles?
I'll get some pictures up this weekend. The intake says "banks sidewinder" on the top It's made of heavy gauge aluminum powder coated black about the size of a box that you'd get a pair of boots in.- cheapthrill

Thanks, Its an f350 standard cab 5-speed 4 wheel drive pretty good shape 177,000 miles runs and drives good. Supposedly the turbo was rebuilt over the summer. It has 4 inch straight pipes I'm also going to put on my truck. I think I'm going to rob what I want off it then part the rest...- cheapthrill

Banks Sidewinder different styles?
I boought a 1991 f350 for the turbo to put on my 1992 both 7.3's. The turbo looks a little different than the ones I've seen for sale. It looks like it's non wastegated. And Over the intake The air cleaner is the size of a large shoe box with banks sidewinder written on it. Has anyone...- cheapthrill

Engine smokes at Idle only when warm?
I think that over the winter I will replace the pump,injectors, and glow plugs. I was going to put on a turbo, because i have a 7,000 lb. trailer and pulling up hills it belches black smoke and struggles. It might just be the fuel system?- cheapthrill

Engine smokes at Idle only when warm?
I have a 1992 7.3 idi with 215,000 miles. I just bought it, and noticed that After I let the truck sit at idle with a warm engine it start smoking quite a bit. Only at idle. It only seems to happen after idling for a good while. Its a grey smoke.- cheapthrill

Fan clutch question???

i just bought a 1992 f350 7.3 crew cab dually. I love it, but I pulled my 30' camper about 20 miles and I could see the temp. gauge get a little warmer. I did hear the fan clutch working.
