    eliminating lift pump!!!!

My fuel system has finally surpassed ANY electric pump I have ever had on my truck. And it's all mechanical. I pesonnaly would not waste my money on an electric pump. Go with the RASP or put a cam in it. PERIOD. Dave

    Twin Turbo's

Compound twins are the thing for our application. A parralell system just does not work. A true compound twins system would have two turbos that are the same in series. Usually, a smaller top turbo is used to get the truck moving and get the bigger charger lit. Then, the top turbo is bypassed...

How many lift pumps have you gone through?

My pump is on the block where it belogs. And it's driven by the cam! I should have pressure readings tonight. Dave

How many lift pumps have you gone through?

I have a new solution to my lift pump woes. I have another pump crapping out on me and I am gonna throw a cam with the 12V lobe on it. Then, I'll add a secret squirrel 12V mechanical pump and throw my fuel pressure gauge in the crapper. Hopefull the cam will add a little to the low end and...

    Ram air upgrade anyone

I helped a buddy modify his air system similar to what you described. All things being equal, you should be right, but, in my buddies case, EGTs were INCREASED. We knew this of course because of the use of gauges. So one cannot assume the results. We actually designed a plenum that looked...

    Ram air upgrade anyone

While I am not saying that you are wrong, you may be. Get the gauges and report back, you may be surprised. Hell, I have seen a newer Dodge that got a simple hood change that resulted in more torque of all things! You see grasshopper, anything is possible, but not probable. You do the...

    What's the best tire/wheel setup??

I am doing my homework now for tires, wheels and the like. All thi pertains to my '02 CTD 2500. I am planning on the D25 coils with extended arms and shocks. Also, it's looking like the Mickey Thompson Classic Locks in 17x9 will be the wheel. They have 5" of backspacing, so I am hopeful...

    Rear Brake Cylinder Replacement?

    Rear Brake Cylinder Replacement?

Nope. I don't any stinkin' wheel cylinders!! I thought I had read somewhere that the Dodge 1 ton cylinders were a direct swap. Am I wrong on that one? What is the advantage of Chevy parts, other than Chevys are slower than Dodges and this may help you stop faster?? Dave

They worked wonders on my stock auto too! Dave

    Superchips Microtuner

I would not go with the tuner unless you needed to change the tire size readout on the odometer. It's about the only useful function. Get the tranny upgrades done first, then add an EZ/ TTPM or a Comp/UFM. JMO Dave

    Weekend BOMB completed

A big thanks goes out to Big K and Nailbender for helping me get my Rip Rook exhaust mounted! Big K invited me over to get the work done. I wasn't there long and Nailbender and I were hacking the old system out and getting the box of pipe out on the floor. After bolting up the downpipe...

    Air Bags?

Timbrens would work fine if that truck saw an occasional load, but I think it would be a bit much for his plans. Firestone bags are the best option. After having "passive" load bolsters (Timbrens) and bags, there is no comparison to bags. Not only do you have the ability to level the truck...

    Extra fuel tank

"Most semi's garavity feed from one tank to anthor. Wonder how they are getting away with that?" Actually, many semis do run gravity feed from one tank to another. They usually isolate the flow direction with solenoids. Also, many of the semis are actually using a balancing system between...

    Lift pump

Max, My truck had the same problem the first time my lift pump went out. Luckily, I had gauges installed and it was quickly caught. There could be a problem with the EZ (not likely) or the connections. Also, check the lift pump connections. Most importantly, check fuel pressure! I...

    Fuel pressure senders

I'm sure Big K will respond with the particulars of his install. On my truck, I used the useless cubby hole to mount the gauge in. Easy to run the line and it works. On my dads truck, we used the same Isppro gauge and braided line and routed it up the pillar. It went surprisingly easy and...
