Thanks man. I’ve heard conflicting specs on whether it’s gear oil or ATF.
I can almost guarantee he didn’t time anything.
I didn’t know that about the column thanks for the info.
Did you replace the bulb yet? Like other posters have said the E4OD is a finicky beast. I had shifting issues not too long ago and it was a flat spot on the TPS. Voltage would drop to nothing at quarter to half throttle and cause all kinds of slippage. When you changed your sensors did you...
I am wanting to put my summer wheels and tires on my F250 but one of my tires is shot and will not make it thru the summer. I am looking for one tire decent enough to last a few months. I am going to be buying new wheels and tires next summer so not wanting to track down 4 new tires for these...
Replaced the alternator and the truck is back to normal. Attached is a picture of the donor at the local salvage yard. Btw this thing had a crazy rear bumper on it. I wish I would of snapped a pic.
Now that I think about it. The alternator coulda been out for few days. Lately i havent done a ton of driving just to the office (3 miles) and a couple trips to Kalamzoo about 40 miles one way. Batteries are old might explain the quick drain. Thanks for the answers about my retarded...
Today I started the truck to let it warm up, its been close to 20 degrees here in Michigan the last few days. I was going to run to Menards, I fell asleep on the couch (I work thirds all I do is sleep I feel like) woke up about oh 2 hours later and the truck was running in the driveway no big...
I agree with Shadetree. Pop that trim off, fix your little rust situation you got there. After that, tape above the lower paint line and get some cheap bed liner and spray it down. It'll look sharp and help bounce rocks that chip the paint to start that mess.
The steering is nice at tight I don't have any issues or concerns with it. Even tho the Michigan potholes are trying to kill me.
I appreciate the advice. I will start with the pump and save up for injectors and go from there.
I have looked into return line kit. I had leak a week or so ago at...
I would listen to him over me. I am a bit of an impulse buyer and I live in the rust belt so I tend to get my wallet out when I hear rust free. Glad you piped in IDIoit.
Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't of thought to check the compression when I replace the GPs. Truck doesn't smoke. You suggest waiting on injectors and IP? I heard failures of the IP is catastrophic or is that a rare occurrence?
Id buy it. If it is free of mechanical issues and the body is clean and rust free but, I already own one so I am a bit bias. Are you able to get a maintenance history on it? Big thing is making sure the antifreeze has been treated with additives.
My old truck is due for some quality time.
I want to perform a "tune-up" New pump, GP, injectors, and anything else you all may suggest.
I do not have the funds to do it all at once. ( Kids are expensive, my son just turned 1. Hoping he can start turning wrenches soon and start contributing...
Yes, I figured that out as soon as I tore into it. I fixed the leak at the pump but I now believe I have a leak at the back of the engine like your describing. I just can not get a good visual on the leak. Where is the best vantage point to see this line? I see the drips when running but, I am...
