just purchased a Cockshutt 1250 , or in the US an Oliver 1250. rough old girl but seems to run ok for sitting a few years. came with a trailer load of implements too. 38hp 4 cylinder 2.3 litre built from 1965-1969. was a 24V converted to 12. I think the implements are worth more than the...
7.3 idi would be simplest option if you already have a V8 gas in there now. might need to do a gear swap on it too. some serious low gears on these trucks in the 60s. it sounds like an interesting project. personally i like the 7.3 powerstroke. but it make an old IH a lot more complicated...
I was looking for a dt360 for my project but got tired of dead ends and people thinking they are gold. so I purchased a 2001 3126 Cat and am presently looking for an OD manual trans for it. my chassis is a 2008 F350 crewcab 4wd , my body is a 1971 F350 crewcab and bed. my case is a NP 205...
I picked up a cleaner 7.3 powerstroke truck that will be for summer use. made a neat pic hauling it home . was going to try and get it on the road before salt, but we have forcast snow for next week so probably not plated until spring. it has 06 king ranch wheel on adapters, not sure yet if...
bought it for the engine and hydrostat stuff its a jacobsen , but unsure of the model. soembody else looked at it and said it was not the 24hp 3cyl motor , but a 20hp 3cyl. picking it up this saturday. I want to use the drivetrain for a homemade side by side, need to narrow the wheel stance...
went at the glow plugs, thought it had 4 out but found 1 with intermittent connection so it got changed too. 1st one I started on left the centre part stuck in the head, couldn't fidn a pair of needle nose vicegrips so it will have to wait for monday and parts place open. I've had 2 glow...
any update on how this thing is working? mama likes it?
my wife is still happy with the 95 Sable I found her . nobody wanted it so it was a good $600 investment. 3yrs now:)
I didn't mean the HP numbers, LOL i was talking about the specs OEM and longevity possibilities if left close to stock. this is my daily, stock stock stock pulling within its capabilities 7.3 powerstroke with over 400,000 miles. could be 500 or 600 who knows but it can do it and will continue...
well it was a wasted trip, it was a dt 466. too early in 1986 buld date to be a 360. I scraped some grime off and found a 210hp on it >was the lowest number on the tag>or what was left of the tag. I was a little dissapointed , but when I got hoem from the trip I posted a wanted at for a DT...
interesting thread. sorry if I resurrect it. going to look at a dt360 and 10 speed trans this afternoon, but he says its a 1985 model. thats the door that was on the truck at least. I missed out on one of these in august with a 6spd on the back. trying to make sure it IS a dt360. pics he...
oh but the parts truck looks good from far, and its far from good. hood is the only panel on the truck that is salvagable, even door skins are gone on the inside. we have salt in winter and calcium chloride in summer here in SW Ontario:frustrate and this one sat in the grass for a few years...
Made it work on a windy day. hauled a heavier powerstroke parts truck home. but got home no problem about 2 hr trip loaded on 2 lane roads. only took about 1hr 40 to get there. I hate when people pull out to pass you from a stoplight but you end up having to brake so they can get back in...
I know I'm late to the game here, but would E450 cube van rear hubs fit on the 88-97 F450/superduty rear dana80? they share the same rear caliper design? sold a guy a dana 60 front and he is thinking of puttign it in his 97 F450 chassis. we were discussing what options woudl get him 8bolt...
Sold the Bronco and did not have to deliver it, but it got hauled by a beautiful minty teal green 2000 F350 regular cab 4x4 7.3 powerstroke zf6 . new owner looks after his stuff! He is planning on a frame off resto of the bronco. it doesn't need one ! looking forward to pics of finished...
soo wierd, it was built with a dana 44 TTB front. I had a 1986 the same with a 6.9 C6 , thought it was strange Ford put the light front end in a diesel truck , but it was factory optioned. clean looking truck with some patina:rock:
Arizona survivor , original body only repaint of bottom green 2001 ish . its for sale because broncos are stupid expensive now. had it sold but when I was droppign it off in Vaugn it stumbled and died cold of fthe trailer so guy backed out. if you have to take your classic to a high end shop...
