I remember a thread where there was a picture of the different ways a glow plug can look coming out of an engine...
Carbon build up
white residue
broken tips
ect..
i cannot find this for the life of me. Does this thread exist? I'm personally dealing with whitish discoloration on...
So, I got sucked into buying some Bestline engine treatment a couple of nights ago. I added it to the crankcase in the truck, and now upon further research I am wondering if I didn't just screw up and make it worse. It was fresh Delo 400 that I added it too, and i'm questioning wether to drain...
hey all, I'm trying to pull the CDR to test and clean/replace it. I've got it moving from side to side but even with all my force pulling up, it won't come out. I do not want to break anything since we're leaving friday for Louisiana in the truck and now store near me has a new CDR and down-tube...
Where is the sensor located that trips this light? Mine's been on since I bought the truck, and two mechanics have told me not to worry about it, which only makes me worry about it more. The Previous Owner removed the Coolant expansion tank to mount two relays to work the front off-road lights...

Very interesting. I like the wrap-around couch. This would be an interesting alternative to a mini-van, just sit the car seats around that couch..LOL
Is "kidnapper" a common term or is that a...

hey all, I'm looking into putting a 100 gal tank in the bed. With prices this low I'd like to hold on to as much cheap fuel as possible. My question is to those who run these tanks. Do I need a pump off the top of the tank? Is one better than the other? Is there a weight to fuel consumption...
I'm pretty sure I mangled the threads on the brass adapter that goes between the injector hard line and the injector on #1 injector. I need a after-market source or FMC part# to get a new one. I hope to hell I didn't mangle the threads on the hard-line nut. I was out there for WAY to long today...
Ok, let me clarify. As it says in my sig, I have an auto but really REALLY want to swap in a 5spd. I've read quite a bit about this and it seems the best way to go about it is to get a complete truck, and not to try to part the whole thing out at JY's. Either way it seems to be all of 1000...
So i was wondering what the rarest/scarcest IDI options combinations are. For instance, I have a '92 F350 CCLBSRW....i've seen a few (especially here..) not uncommon, but not everywhere either. Would the 5spd be rarer? I would imagine so.
What's the hardest to find/lowest production...
Hey all, so i'm putting Russ' injectors in today (stoked..) and have gotten them all in and torqued, except the number 1. Just does not seem to want to catch on the threads. I'm taking a break for lunch and re-assesment.
Let me know what y'all think I might be doing wrong. There's no crush...
I've been reading the tech article on how to get rid of the fuel heater at the filter head on the 7.3. Great write up except I can't figure out exactly what he did with the wire that connected onto the filter head? Do you just cut it and wrap it in tape? What happens to that connector/wire so...
Hey guy's, I was reading the Sticky about Timing Registry and didn't see anybody in my neck of the woods (Marietta GA area). I was wondering if anybody had a recommendation for a place to go. After I'm done with all this injector work, i'm getting her timed.
It wouldn't be such a bad thing...
I've seen guy's talking about Nickel and Graphite anti-seize, and I got some Copper from Orielly's. Is there a big difference between them?
Any preferences and the reasons for?
Thanks.
Happy New Year everyone, I need some advise regarding my fuel return line job i'm doing. So my truck is a '92 F350 CCLB SRW 4x4 with the 7.3. I have the brass T at cylinder 8 and it has hose running from it, to under the truck. My problem is, is that I tried to take off that hose to replace it...
