OK IDI gurus. I'm new to diesels so I have a question for you. The brake pedal feels very soft on the first push. It will build harder if I keep pumping. Do I blame a bad booster, master cylinder, or vacuum pump?
This problem has recently surfaced. I don't use the truck that often if it sets awhile I turn the key and get nothing. No click, no try to start, nothing. If I jump the solenoid on the fender it fires right up. Replaced it with a new one, problem returned after not using the truck for awhile...
Any tips on the LED bulb issues? Recently changed the tail lights to round led, now the rear abs light is on and I noticed the tranny will shift up if I let off the throttle a little.
the Flight 93 Memorial is referenced in the original post. Yes it is free. There is also the Que Creek mine rescue site just down the road from the Flight 93 Memorial. It is also free. I have been to that campground many times, it's one of my wife's favorites and we only live about 30 min away...
Finally got around to checking the FIPL sensor. One screw was almost falling out and it was way off! Shifts so much better now!!! Glad I found that newbie checklist post on here!!!!
Thank you! I drive a rollback from time to time too and it builds up slowly like that too. Haven't gotten out for more pics it is apparently monsoon season around here.
Thanks! I do believe that's what it is. I guess I will put power to the open terminal and see if that is how it works. Covering the open port does build up the idle speed.
I can take more pictures tonight. One vacuum line goes to the main one right above it. The other goes back to a solenoid that is connected to the throttle linkage. The one wire goes to the battery negative terminal. If I cover the open port the idle speeds up slowly. If I bypass it and connect...
On the passenger side (7.3) there is only 1 wire and 2 connectors, should this have a cap on it? I can here the vacuum bleed of on shut down. If I put my finger over the open port the fast idle picks up slowly. If I bypass it the fast idle kicks in immediately?
Built my own small toy hauler
Still working on the conversion to a camper in the back. Just some cabinets and a couch to go. And eventually some paint work.
If I am cruising along with just a toe barely pushing on the pedal I hear what sounds like a faint rattle. If I lift off completely or push down farther it goes away. Any idea what to be looking at?
Jump over to expeditionportal.com and look in the category other expo vehicles or in 2 and 4 wheel vans. Lots of people there mount and remount boxes to 4wd frames etc. Really not that hard.http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/84589-A-Prodcutive-Weekend!/page10...
