Flushing with distilled water
Not sure a coolant filter is going to fix this gaping hole. It doesn't look soldered in, at least not by someone's skillful hands. I can't find a good radiator shop so I think my only option is $400 worth of new radiator. I could get an aluminum one for cheaper (go figure), but I rather stick...- Unsung

I may have a problem. Was going to drain the second dose of distilled water before finally filling with coolant. Went to open the radiator drain plug. It's a brass fitting next to the bottom radiator hose. When I unscrewed it, the brass thing the plug was screwed into came with it... I can't get...- Unsung

Yeah I took out both drain plugs. My coolant was very clean, a pale green. Pouring distilled jugs into it, it's still clean as can be. Funny thing was opening the radiator drain after putting a big bucket under it to catch coolant and all the coolant shooting over the bucket and hitting the...- Unsung

I've read a lot of posts on flushing the coolant and refilling. But everyone was doing it a different way. I drained the mystery coolant and poured a half dozen gallons of distilled water through the radiator and block and out the drains trying to clear out as much as I can. There's...- Unsung

Light switch wiring?
I ran a fresh wire from switch to relay and that didn't work either. Tested relay and though it's new, it's bad. Damnit. Any idea why my test light is lighting up on both sides of the relay? Is there a little hot coming up that starter wire normally?- Unsung

Not a project, a running, driving truck. The NSS is on a rod above the gas or take pedal. The rod is moved by the clutch pedal, so you have to clutch it to start it. I got "headlamps" and "exterior lamps" mixed up. This burnt spot in the fuse block is where that tan/white wire comes out. When they were coming on it must've been before I pulled the fuse out that was barely in there, but they still weren't working when headlamps came on but maybe that was a...- Unsung

It's already bypassed. They did it by cutting the red/blue wires going in and coming out of it, then twisting them together. They left the two green ones running into it- Unsung

I'll have to find some wifi and look at it on my laptop, too small for phone. Anyone know what's between ignition switch and starter relay? The red/light blue wire, does it run through anything on its way to the relay, besides the NSS, like a fusible link? Can't get power through it so I'm...- Unsung

Replaced the light switch and it's doing the same thing, all lights go off when the headlights come on. Also trying to make this truck crank by key instead of shorting relay, replaced the ignition switch and that's still not working. Edit: Cancel that, only my headlights work now.- Unsung

Light switch wiring?
I'm on my phone and can't figure out how to post pictures. The switch isn't what is melted. In the fuse block, #4 fuse is for headlamps, roof lamps, and instrument panel. It says so on the dash panel I removed to get to the fuse block. The right side of the fuse hole in the fuse block is melted...- Unsung

1989 F350, 7.3, ZF-5, 4x4 All but my headlights go off when I pull the light switch to the headlight position. I noticed my fuse block melted behind the headlight fuse on one side, and removed it (headlights still work, though). Not sure how this got melted in the first place but someone...- Unsung
