So after a couple months of not really driving the truck much (i have the use of a 08 CCLB 6.4 4X4 6 spd for a while) I figured out what was causing the light, and it may be a good tip for others with this pump. The light was coming on because my fuel pump relay was dying. On the way to work...
interesting, I haven't heard about the extra return fuel causing a stir. I yanked what was left of the showerheads as best I could when I first got the truck 3.5 years ago, and did the hose trick. There may still be pieces floating about though.
there's the mount setup currently, will be cleaned up before long.
Screen looks clean, will try pulling it if it starts doing it again. Tried to make the light come on on the way home, was dragging an empty 18ft car hauler. Could not get the light to come on. Go figure, I talk about it and...
Pump is next to the pass. battery tray, very similar to the guruat12's above. Using a relay, hot wire off the solenoid to the relay with the relay triggered by the fuel solenoid on the IP. I'll get a pic in a couple hours when I get off work.
Tried searching to no avail.
I did the Facet Duralift swap using a pump from the genlightning group buy. Ever since I did the swap, I have had a fuel filter light under load, which fades out when I upshift or let out on the throttle. It's especially bad when towing. Truck seems to run fine...
A different set on fleabay

These are cheaper, and look like they might work. I would confirm elsewhere...
just for info for others, this is the difference.
hub
Vs SRW
As you can see from the second photo, where they appear to bolt on is actually where the rotor bolts to it from then inside, rather than the lug studs holding the rotor on.
Also the difference in pre-94 and...

set on fleabay now.
I bought a parts truck back in march of '12 to get the used wastegated banks sidewinder kit with it. The kit is complete with all the parts minus the crossover pipe and the exhaust. The only problem was the guy dropped the turbo and broke the wastegate actuator arm off.
Is this fixable? Or...
I got rid of all the factory fuel lines, I mounted my facet carrier pump by the battery tray, and basically followed the write up instructions. I have a front main seal on the way to the house, gonna change that and see where we are on oil leaks. I really hope its not the oil pan, cause I really...
Sorry, reread my post and kinda unclear.
The oil leak was really bad with the mech. fuel pump. When I pulled the mech. pump, it had a bunch of RTV caked up on the remnants of a gasket, so I think the PO slapped some RTV on a replacement pump and threw it in there without cleaning the block...
I have a really bad oil leak somewhere on the right side of my engine. It initially appeared to be coming from the fuel pump mount, but I replaced the mechanical lift pump with a facet pump, and got the plate and engine very clean and sealed it off. It slowed the leak a little, so that was...
check the 3 pin plug on the alternator. Mine was bad about coming unpinned, and not charging.
I drove over 400 miles one time with no alternator because of that plug, running the AC and radio. When I turned it off, I had to get a nissan hardbody to jump me. Talk about embarrassing.
I had the stock 7.3 DMF behind the 6.9 when it was in my truck. No issues other than the noise from the fact that the DMF was worn out and the 2 halves moved about 15 degrees in relation to one another without any resistance.
thats the throttle position sensor that is only used if your truck has an E4OD, if you have a ZF, its non functional. My IP has one because my engine came out of a '93 F-350 with an auto, but its not hooked up to anything.
