Perhaps it got bent when the joints were replaced. There's a driveline shop here. Ill order a new yoke and seal and bring them to the shop with the shaft to see what they say.
sent from my dumb phone with my dumb ass typing.
Hey all, hoping one of you guys can figure this out. 6 or so months ago the joints in the rear shaft started getting noisy. I dropped the truck off and had them replaced with moog joints. A month after that the front joint broke while I was quite a ways from home. I got a ride to get new joints...
Used the seat reamer. Worked awesome. Got the cracked line fixed. No fuel leaks but no improvement. Dang! Oh well it needed new injectors anyway. It's a 40 minute drive to where I hhave the truck so its tough to make time to go work on it. Considering taking it to a highly recomended local...
It gives only a single pop on startup. Installed the new injectors and return lines. No change in symptoms but a noticable increase in power even with the issues. Neat. Seems to be bleeding compression past the threads of one injector. Same injector that gave me a hard time catching a thread...
I'm going with 8 new bb injectors and a return kit. I know there are a few other guys around here with idi's and at least one or two of them are on the forum also. maybe they will want to get together on the timing meter rental.
Thanks for all the help guys! I am in contact with typ4 for a set of injectors and a return kit, I can't see replacing just one. It makes alot of sense to do the pump now too since I know it needs it BUT it would lay waste to my budget now AND I would like to turbo the truck in the future to...
Story time.
Today was my son's 13th birthday and he wanted to go out and about for a 'guys day'
drove all over town, had a nice steak lunch ;Sweet bombed up the interstate for 30 or so miles, drove up and down some nasty access roads to go shooting (darn kid can just about out shoot his old...
Sounds cool, I'm going to eventually put one out front and I was going to just cut the front bumper and let it poke through. We don't run front plates here in pennsyltucky but I'm sure I could find one. Do you each up under the bumper to put the pin in?
Just came back in, the manual column worked fine. Lots of little springs and levers and roll pins and brackets to swap over  BUT.......
The truck now starts with the key and MAN does it ever turn over quick now that the entire trucks electrics aren't running through 20 feet of 16...
In my quest to make this truck start with the key I'm at the point of replacing the column. I'm fairly certain the issue is the plastic actuator in the column. At the junkyard today every dang auto column was gone. I took a look at a smooth operating column from a manual f250 that also had the...
