    Thanks for the tip. I'm just wondering how much of a difference a Turbine Housing and Outlet Housing would make on the horsepower as opposed to just a plain downpipe. What do think?

    I got the turbo off of the engine today from the wrecking yard. On the air box it did say "Ford", not "ATS". It also had "Turbo Diesel" on each fender above and rear of the wheel well like Fords did in that year. I would bet that it is surely a factory turbo motor. The only number I could...

    icanfixall Bad rod as far as I know. Don't know if it's a "turbo motor". I'll find out for you when I go down Saturday the 7th. Serial # etc.. Al

    Good question. The turbo is still on the (blown) engine. Hasn't been touched. It says ATS on the filter cover (not Ford). I don't think they'll let me pull the turbo for insurance purposes. If I could jump up on there I could see what I needed but I'm now 50 miles away from the yard. What...

    I have a chance of getting a 94 factory turbo off of a pickup in a wrecking yard for $250. Sounds like a good deal even if I have to have it rebuilt. I figure it shouldn't be any big deal installing it on my "91" 7.3.. Would appreciate any of your thoughts on this. I'm sure this subject has...

    I agree with what everyone else has said. Especially the simplicity. I sold new Ford trucks for about 6 months ( 6 months was all I could handle). I was impressed by the power of the 6.0 but my 91 F-350 is so much more comfortable. The outside still looks like a truck, not a rounded bath tub...

    I have to push it against the lines a little to get it started, but once it's screwed in, the FL 1995 clears with no problem. - - 91 F-350 4x4.. I really like it.. Al

    Yeah I know what you mean. For my needs I want a wastegated turbo and I thought an ATS turbo allowed easier access to things and was a cleaner looking install (only one mans opinion guys). Oh well, guess I'll "settle" for the Banks ( drooling while he types) :D Al
