    GP tips gone

Sure. I am hoping it will be done in the next 1-1.5 months. The pump and injector replacement goes along with a turbo kit install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    GP tips gone

I don’t, but I will be replacing the pump and injectors in the near future. I already have them sitting in the garage. When I do that I will make sure timing is good. 7.5 + or - 1 BTDC, correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    GP tips gone

Hi all. So I went to replace my GPs today. I had noticed harder cold starts and less of a voltage drop when glowing them than before. All GP were zd-9. All of them came out easy, but the ones from my rear 2 cylinders were missing their tips. I have no idea how long they have been like this and I...

    E250 blower motor resistor location

    E250 blower motor resistor location

I will take a look. I replaces the blower motor a couple of years ago and the motor just has a 2 wire plug that connects to the harness and then goes in to one of the engine wire looms. Can’t remember if I said it in the original post. It is a 1988. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    E250 blower motor resistor location

That is what I may end up doing, I was just kinda hoping someone would know the exact location. The blower motor is under the hood and kind of a pain to get at. Not terrible, but not easy either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    E250 blower motor resistor location

Hi all, The resistor for my front blower motor went out on my 1988 e250. I only get high. Before I start just hunting for it, does anyone know where it is located? Just trying to save some time. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Towing issues?

Did you just swap to a larger auxiliary trans cooler, or did you also reconnect the stock one in the radiator? When I was planning on towing with mine I spoke with quite a few very knowledgeable transmission people. They all said that the stock cooler is a much more efficient setup than any aux...

    Towing issues?

Made it there and back with no issues. I watched my temps so I could report back for you to compare to. Drivetrain is a NA 7.3, c6 and 3.54 gears. My setup is right at 14K lbs GCW. Temps outside on the way down were sunny and in the 70's. On the way back it was rainy and in the 50's. Biggest...

    Towing issues?

All it would take is a section of bulk hose and a couple of hose clamps to add the stock cooler back in the cooling circuit. That is what I would do. You may want to flush the stock cooler with fluid before hooking it up if it has been left open to the elements. You said you were seeing 210* on...

Heater box flap location on vans?

You are talking about the blower for the dash AC, correct? Have you unplugged the blower motor and put your volt meter on the plug while going through the different speeds with the dash controls. This could tell you if it is the motor or not. That is where I would start. Although you may have...

Heater box flap location on vans?

Engine running with AC selector on. Then jump the low pressure switch in the engine compartment while watching the compressor to see if the clutch engages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heater box flap location on vans?

To test to make sure the compressor will run you can jump the low pressure switch momentarily and watch it. You should see it engage. Just run it for a few seconds though since there isn’t anything in the system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Towing issues?

Unless the stock trans cooler in the radiator is broken (allowing trans fluid into the coolant to coolant into the trans) it should not be bypassed. It is a much more efficient cooler than an aftermarket one. The aftermarket one should be put in series after the stock one. I used a Ford 6.0L...

Heater box flap location on vans?

You have one of those on the front heater core hose? That is news to me. I have one of those in the supply heater hose going back to my rear heater core. It closes when the controls are turned to AC and is open at all other times. I was thinking about putting in shut off valves for the from...

    Towing issues?

Not sure the validity of it, but I always heard that the OD towing thing had to do with heat mostly. That many times the trans would constantly be shifting in and out of OD and also locking and unlocking the converter. This causes a lot of heat/wear etc and can cause the trans to fail. I also...

    Towing issues?

How big/steep of a hill was it? The thing is that even with a turbo you aren’t gonna be fast, but it sounds like something is amiss. I don’t have to floor my NA e250 with my 7500lb trailer behind it. It just takes a bit to get up to speed. Have you replaced the fluid in your trans recently...

    Towing issues?

Changing the fluid in the rear end could be a good idea, but it wouldn’t have anything to d with towing performance or the trans shifting. So when the trans shifted, did it shift well/quickly? Is it it’s that it held the gear for longer than you liked? These motors are made so they can run...

    Towing speed with 5th wheel?

When I tow my bumper pull 30ft trailer with a WD and anti-sway (scaled at 7500-8000lbs) I usually run at 65mph and just wave to people as they pass me. It feels stable at that speed and it doesn't feel like I am over working the van. With your being a dually and a 5th wheel it will probably...

    Towing issues?

All of your numbers seem to be okay, but it does sound like performance is down. I will be interested to see what happens with some timing adjustment. I tow a 7000 lb travel trailer with my NA e250 that has a c6 and 3.54 gears. Uphill performance isn’t great, but I very rarely put the throttle...

7.3 idi F350 overheats while pulling

I tow my 7500lb travel trailer with my NA e250 7.3 c6 with 3.54s. I don’t have any over heating issues. On flat ground I usually run 60-65mph. If I try and go past that my EGT go up. On some of the bigger hills I have been down to 50-55mph by the end. When your fan clutch kicks in, do you see a...

    1989 E-350 Dual Fuel Tanks?

True. I currently have a range in the 500 to 600 mile range if I am not towing. Pulling my trailer it is about 350-400. With the fuel capacity I was thinking range would have been in the 1100-1200 mile range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1989 E-350 Dual Fuel Tanks?

Who knows. At one point I had the wild idea of using one of the huge midship tanks on mine and then upgrading the rear to a 38 gallon. It would have given me something like 75 gallon capacity......but then I realized it made no since to do it because on road trips my bladder wouldn’t hold out...
